Judges:

Judges for the Flowers, Spring Fare and Handicrafts sections are by appointment. For the Photography and Art sections, the public will be invited to choose their favourite entry in each class and the best in each section overall.

Timetable:

10.00am to 11.30am:                  Exhibits received and staged

11.30am to 01.00pm:                 Judging of flowers and crafts

01.00pm                                   Show open to the public (voting on photographs ends at 3.00pm)

03.30pm                                    Raffle draw and presentation of awards

Rules:

  1. Open to residents and friends of the Parish of Long Itchington
  2. Decisions of judges will be final
  3. The committee will take all possible care of exhibits but will not be held responsible for any loss or damage
  4. Exhibitors should provide their own containers for display purposes wherever possible
  5. All exhibits must remain staged throughout the Show
  6. Exhibitors will be limited to 2 entries per class. A Handicraft entry may, however, consist of a group or set of like items
  7. Display space for classes 12, 13, and 14 is limited to 2ft x 2ft
  8. There are no entry fees and awards will take the form of certificates and rosettes
  9. Any donated or unclaimed Items from Section 1 (excluding bowls & containers, etc) will be offered for sale at the end of the Show with all proceeds going towards the running costs of the Community Centre
  10. Items from Sections 2, 3, 4 and 5 must be collected at the end of the Show
  11. Children are encouraged to participate in any of the classes identified in the Show Schedule and to check in accordingly. Additionally, classes 21 to 26 are specifically for children under the age of 12 on the day of the show.

SECTION 1 – FLOWERS

11     An arrangement of polyanthus plants (mixed or matching)

12     A container of SPRING flowers and foliage

13     An arrangement of SPRING flowers and foliage with aids allowed

14     A novelty arrangement of flowers and other materials

SECTION 2a – SPRING FARE (Adults)

In addition to the standard rules of the show, the following rules govern the photographic exhibits:

  1. All exhibits must be received by 7.00pm on Thursday 31st March 2011 at any of the addresses listed below
  2. The minimum printed size is 6″ x 4″ and the maximum display size, including any mount, is A4 (i.e. 113/4” x 81/4” approx)
  3. All pictures must be presented with the exhibitor’s own titles on the front and their names on the rear
  4. All pictures entered must have been taken by the exhibitors themselves
  5. There is no restriction on the type of photograph i.e. Black & White or Colour, Film or Digital, Mobile Phone, etc.
  6. Photographs will be judged by the public using a simple voting slip and an award made to the most popular picture in each class and to the most admired picture overall.

SECTION 5 – ART

42     Drawing (pen & ink, charcoal, pencil, computer, etc)

In addition to the standard rules of the show, the following rules govern the art exhibits:

  1. All exhibits must be received by 7.00pm on Thursday 31st March 2011 at any of the addresses listed below unless the size is greater than 24″ x 24″ when it must be brought to the Show on the day between 10.00am and 11.30am
  2. All exhibits must be presented with the exhibitor’s own titles on the front and their names on the rear
  3. All exhibits entered must have been created by the exhibitors themselves
  4. Exhibits will be judged by the public using a simple voting slip and an award made to the most popular exhibit in each class and to the most admired exhibit overall.
