Parish Survey 2011

This year’s survey is being conducted from 24th January – 6th February.  You will be contacted by a questionnaire deliverer and given the opportunity to express your views (anonymously) on a variety of topics – public amenities, village organisations, HS2 and many more.  This year we are asking for opinions regarding the future of the Green End field development.  This project has been slow to get off the ground but the new LILAC committee is keen to gather public opinion before embarking on costly changes.

It is very important that any changes have the backing of the community so we hope that everyone will take part – anyone who is aged 11 or over can fill in their own questionnaire. Last time we achieved a response of 83% and we are really hoping to surpass this in 2011.

Some people have expressed doubts about the usefulness of this survey – we urge you to put scepticism to one side.  If you look at the report of the survey 10 years ago ‘Village Report‘ you will see that a number of actions were taken as a direct result of the survey, and many more things were influenced.

If you are still doubtful about your views being taken into account, please remember that if you don’t take part we won’t know what you want or think and definitely won’t be able to take your views into account, whereas we will be taking into account other people’s views!
