Welcome to the Community Centre
The Community Centre exists for the village, is run by the village and is fully funded by the village. It is our village hall. Its sole purpose is to provide a facility where villagers can come together, whatever their interests, and exercise, learn or simply relax and enjoy themselves in pleasant surroundings. It currently hosts over a dozen village organisations including Brownies, a History Group, T’ai Chi, Toddler Group, Youth Club, Wednesday Club, Women’s Institute and Yoga, all of whom meet on a regular basis. As well as these special interest groups, there are also annual village shows where villagers exhibit their talents in homecrafts, flowers, art, photography, etc – and have fun. The Parish Council meets in the Community Room on the first Wednesday of every month and the Annual Parish Meeting is held in the Centre every May.
In addition to the various public organisations and meetings, the Community Centre is frequently booked for one-off occasions and private family functions at very reasonable rates. Please browse the topics to find out more about the facilities offered by the Community Centre and the hire charges for its use.
