Sketch of the new War Memorial

Long Itchington War Memorial Dedication

On Saturday 27th October 2018 at 1.00pm

the new war memorial will be dedicated and  unveiled during a formal ceremony

at the memorial site at The Green,

on the corner of Leamington Road / Church Road.

This will be led by the Reverend Jane Everitt.

Everyone is welcome

Refreshments will be available afterwards.

Remembrance Sunday

This year’s Remembrance Sunday (which also marks the 100 years anniversary of the Armistice of the First World War)

falls on Sunday 11th November. Services take place at both Holy Trinity Church and the Chapel from 10.00am.

At 10.45am there will be a procession from Holy Trinity Church to the new War Memorial

with a short ceremony including laying of wreaths

“Beacon of Light”

Finally, at 7.00pm as part of the national commemorations

there will be the lighting of a “Beacon of Light”

on The Green including a short ceremony.
